Here are some of our best tips and tricks for Building! Just to make your day a bit easier on Manacube’s Creative server!
Finding inspiration to build is always a tough thing to do. A lot of builders are usually always looking for images that inspire them, or make them want to challenge themselves with a new style.
The best places to find inspiration images or concepts art is going to be on twitter, pinterest, or simply just by using google. You may also use the command /whattobuild
in-game to have some randomized building ideas generated.
Here we have listed a few twitter accounts that work for us...

https://twitter.com/InspImage_ (Concept Arts)

Here are a few pinterest boards that also work for us...

One final source is Google. If you have a specific theme in mind, or already know what you want to build google is a great place to look. You can search concept arts for a specific theme by simply typing “Concept Art” after a keyword.
(Ex. Aquatic Concept Art)
Choosing the right blocks for your build will improve the visual appeal. You can choose colors that complement each other, or contrast.
Colors that complement each other are similar in color. For example, lapis blocks and purple wool. Similar in color so they could go well together. Contrasting colors are ones that seem opposite in the color spectrum. Obsidian is dark enough a blue that it contrasts well with snow.
Below are some sample palettes.
If you can, whenever you build a structure on your plot, It’s always a good idea to add interior. This can range from 1 simple room to much more complex layouts. Much like a fingerprint, no interior is ever the same! Here are some awesome examples from our players:
Detail can make or break a plot, there's a fine line between too much and too little structure. It’s a hard craft to master but once you get used to it there are no problems with doing this. Make sure to add depth to a build as this makes it really come to life. Some examples:
Custom trees are not essential but when it comes to getting a higher grade they are the standard. Custom trees just means that you hand build the trees instead of growing them from a sapling. Custom trees can range in style depending on the person building; you just have to find your own style for it to work!
